Logan Square is centered on the public square of it’s namesake and hugs the Chicago river. Many historical buildings and bungalow type homes are available in the area. A main draw of this area is the affordable housing market. This appeals to many students and younger professionals. However, many larger and more luxurious homes have been appearing the neighborhood lately too.
The Palmer Square neighborhood is a tiny pocket located in Logan Square. The name comes from the seven-acre Palmer Square Park, an open green space located at the west end of the neighborhood.
The best part of Logan Square is how it can appeal to all people. There are activities for families, for students, for young professionals, and established career people. The nightlife of Logan Square is an eclectic mix of quirky pubs and Prohibition-era themed bars. Logan Square also contains a wide variety of restaurants, shops and an auditorium, which regularly offers musical entertainment. There are many trendy shops available and access to public transportation is a breeze with the blue line running through with 3 stops in the neighborhood. The Milwaukee bus also runs 24hrs. Logan Square is located perfectly away from the city yet only 4 miles from down town.
CTA Blue Line stops and manyl bus stops are present in Wicker Park; however, we recommend walking through the beautiful neighborhood. Freeways are easily accessible, too.
